Dr Heikal focusses on the commercialisation and exploitation of university IP. He has over 10 years’ international experience as an industry-facing researcher and technology transfer professional, translating fundamental science into outputs that directly benefit society and the economy. He has a PhD in multidrug resistance, and he has peer reviewed publications and patents in the fields of antimicrobial resistance and drug discovery.
Adam focusses on the commercialisation and exploitation of university IP. He has over 10 years’ international experience as an industry-facing researcher and technology transfer professional working in the UK, New Zealand, and Norway, translating fundamental science into outputs that directly benefit society and the economy. During this time, he has worked with researchers, technology transfer teams and accelerator engines, as well as establishing close collaborations with industry, including the pharmaceutical sector.
He has led on and contributed to successful translational funding applications, worth c£1.5M, supporting the commercialisation of university technologies. In doing so, he worked with industry, potential investors, regulatory bodies, CROs and government agencies to develop commercialisation strategies. He has a PhD in multidrug resistance, and he has a number of peer reviewed publications and patents in the fields of antimicrobial resistance and drug discovery.
