Keith Millican

Chairman

Keith Millican is a seasoned executive with over 35 years of global business experience. He has a diverse background, including audit and corporate finance with PWC and Lloyds Bank, and senior management positions in the international packaging sector with Borden Inc, Lawson Mardon, and Alusuisse-Lonza Group. Keith has also been involved in reconstructing two large private equity investments and leading transformational change programmes in public sector housing organizations. Since 2009, he has served as Group Finance Director for St Andrew Applied Research, overseeing all aspects of finance, HR, and IT.

He holds an M.A. (Hons) in Accounting and is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Director, and Fellow of the Institute of Directors. Throughout his career, Keith has shown a strong commitment to people development, entrepreneurship, and effective leadership. 

As Director of Enterprise at St Andrews Innovation, Keith supports entrepreneurial development by creating an environment that fosters innovation and encourages students, faculty, and staff to pursue ideas with the potential to make a positive impact on society. He also oversees incubation programs and builds relationships with key stakeholders.

Keith works closely with the CEO and senior leaders to develop and implement initiatives that align with the goals of the University of St Andrews. With his expertise and experience, he is well-equipped to lead, provide guidance, and support entrepreneurs through the provision of training, access to funding, and mentorship, helping them tackle complex problems and find new solutions that can make a difference in people's lives.
